I’m always looking for free stuff, especially free online storage sites!

Now, I’m not too sure that the official name is GDrive, but I don’t care.  It does what I need and that is to share images and zip files to friends and family…just as long as I don’t go over 250mb (I’m cheap).  If you need more, then Google asks for $0.25 per GB per year.  Not too bad a price if you ask me.

I’m always looking for new marketing opportunities when stuff like this gets released.   I’ve come up with a list of things can could be used to take advantage of the public sharing of Gdrive documents:

• Image marketing optimization
• Image sharing
• moving big zip files from pc to pc
• text file marketing optimization
• music sharing
• video sharing

Some neat stuff to consider.  One thing I did notice, or perhaps I can’t find this feature, is how do you tag files in Google Docs or how do you add descriptions?  If anybody knows how to do this, please leave a comment :)

I’m so looking forward to seeing how GDrive transforms into a powerful internet marketing tool.

This thing is supposed to be a step above the previously released G-Phone from T-mobile. This, however is totally Google, with custom Google stuff (as described by the Google mobile engineers).

The phone, built by HTC, will of course be using the Android operating systems. Analysts are not totally sold on the impact Google hopes to make against the iPhone, but only the market will tell.

Google Wave is going to be cool, but if you didn’t already know, some of the features are actually being used in Google Documents.  Go ahead and create a Word document, share it and then have your friend write and edit the document with you.  This approach is pretty much the basis of how Google Wave will function.

1. Text Surrounding Images - Note that the distance of the text from the image also counts so it makes sense to place the image as near as possible to the related text.

2. text of pages linking to the picture

3. the number of websites containing the same or similar image - This helps determine relevancy of image to the search term

4. size of image - Usually the image with higher resolution ranks better. Note though that users can filter search results by file size. The reasoning behind this may be more for the viewing pleasure since a higher resolution image looks better.

5. Image Resolution - Remember though that loading your page with lots of high resolution images may bog down your site causing it to have a longer loading time. Make sure you do not sacrifice usability and accessibility!
6. link relationships between images - Images that are linked together and have related associated text will help determine relevancy

7. frequency of image’s appearance in website - This pertains to logos and other recurring images. It helps determine importance and relevance of image to the website topic.

8. face and name detection - The more faces on an image the higher it is usually ranked. On the other hand if a specific name is queried then a single face with the person searched for will rank better.

The trick is to generate lots of unique content that either contains Adsense ads or even pages that point to landing pages with affiliate links.

You can grab an article by rss aggregator or "stealing" something from one of the many ezine publising sites such as Ezinearticles.com. Heck, people have been stealing my submission for quite some time!

The next thing to do is spin the article in some way to generate multiple version of the copy using synonyms and a web tool such as JetSpinner (my affiliate link if you are interested).  The tool is free, but they charge you if you want to "promote" your articles.

The concept is simple, take a word (or phrase) you would  like to switch up and replace it with synonyms, separated by bars and surrounded by curly braces.  For instance, if you want the article to replace the word Apple with three variations of apple, you could do this:

• I would like a juicy red {fuji|honeycrisp|Mcintosh} for lunch.

You can then assign tell JetSpinner to create 3 variations of this sentence, effectively giving you:

• I would like a juicy red fuji for lunch.
• I would like a juicy red honeycrisp for lunch.
• I would like a juicy red Mcintosh for lunch.

However the power in the spinning is that you can replace phrases with other phrases in multiple sections:

• I {would like|always want|always hope for} a {juicy|crispy|sweet but tart} {fuji|honeycrisp|Mcintosh} apple for {lunch| a lunchtime snack|brunch}.

The spinner works recursively, so you can even have curly braces within curly braces to really mix things up! You need to understand factorials (I stink at math, so I’m not going to explain it) in order to see how many possible variations of this sentence can be generated…all for the sake of creating non-duplicate SPAM copy for content websites.

Some black hatters may even use some kind of Markov Generator to really mix things up.  Markov sequences can be used to scramble source text which is really cool for swapping sentences in multiple paragraphs.  This guy has a Markov Generator for you to play with.

To complete the process: Post the thousands of newly created variations of the same article for others to pick up.  This can be done by using the multiple article submission sites out there.

The concept is really simple, if you think about it. The publisher or the webmaster inserts a java script into a certain website. Each time the page is accessed, the java script will pull advertisements from the Adsense program. The ads that are targeted should therefore be related to the content that is contained on the web page serving the ad. If a visitor clicks on an advertisement, the webmaster serving the ad earns a portion of the money that the advertiser is paying the search engine for the click.

The search engine is the one handling all the tracking and payments, providing an easy way for webmasters to display content-sensitive and targeted ads without having the hassle to solicit advertisers, collect funds, monitor the clicks and statistics which could be a time-consuming task in itself. It seems that there is never a shortage of advertisers in the program from which the search engine pulls the Adsense ads. Also webmasters are less concerned by the lack of information search engines are providing and are more focused in making cash from these search engines.

The first reason why Adsense is essential for content sites is because it already has come a long way in understanding the needs of publishers and webmasters. There was a time when people were not yet aware of the money to be achieved from advertisements. The cash generated only came into existence when the webmasters and publishers realized how they can make Adsense be that generator. In those days, the content were the most important factors that is taken quite seriously. It still is. With the allure of money, of course.
