Recently there have been a ton of posts and e-books floating around about and old technique of using online classified sites to promote affiliate programs, in particular AdultFriendFinder.com and Craigslist. 

The concept is simple, sign up for an affiliate account with AdultFriendFinder.com and then post an ad on Craigslist or a UK version known as Gumtree.

Instead of wasting your money buying an e-book, let me give you the quick and dirty.  Heck this isn’t private information.  Shoemoney actually clobbered this segment a few years ago.  But, I want to be perfectly clear about this. This trick is considered black hat and you have to feel good or no guilt about being a liar.  So if these two things are out of the way then let me begin the tutorial.

Step 1: Join an Affiliate Program

Yes, this is the key. The point of this scam is to make money and in particular, profit from an affiliate program.  The program I will use is AdultFriendFinder.com.  Sign up there to get started.  Click on this link to go there an then click the Affiliate Signup link:

When prompted with selecting the “option” make sure you pick the 1st one.  This is the lead-based affiliate program which means you will make some cash by having people signup for a free profile.

Eventually you will receive your affiliate signup information.  It is from here that you will get your affiliate links. 

From the Option - I Per Click Program, click the Setup & Promotional tools link. Look at item number 6.  This is the actual link you will promote. Save this someplace on your PC.

Step 2: Set up an email account with a Vacation message or Autoresponder options.

This is how your potential leads will reply to your post.  But for each ad you post  you should use some kind of cute, girlie-like email address like jennylove21@gmail.com or loneygurl84@gmail.com.  

Your best option is to signup for a G-mail account. For one they have a nice vacation Autoresponder, but your basic webhosting email account probably has the same.

So now you have your email address.  What you need to do now is turn on your vacation message.

For the subject line it is important to leave this blank! Why? Well when somebody sends an email to you, your Autoresponder will paste their subject into your reply subject.  This makes it look more like a “human” is actually responding to your message.

As for your actual away message, well this is where you get creative.   You want it to be catchy, provocative and also contain a way to have this person signup for a free Friend Finder profile…which they will do through your link.

*But this is where you have to lie and sound interesting

So here is an idea for you to use as your message:

Hey,

Thanks for replying to my ad. I really hope you are the one I’m looking for.

Please, do me a favor and register at http://adultfriendfinder.com/go/g760873-ppc+reg
Once you do that please send me your profile. It’s important that you sign up so you can see my other photos and my full profile (and some of my nice friends too!) This thing is free, so don’t get crazy.

You had better be hot, and not 60 years old ;) well, if you are hot and 60 years old then that is fine with me too.

So safe that message off and you are ready to go.

Step 3: Post an ad to a Free Classified site.

I tried out Craigslist and it worked out nicely, however many of people have been getting good responses from  a UK version called GumTree.com.

What you want to do is select the city you would like to post your ad in.  Typically personal ads involve people looking for companionship in a specific area.  For this example we can use London.

Next you want to click through the Friends / Partners / and then Dating links to get to the dating links.  Then pick your specific type of ad (For our example you should pick “Girls Seeking Guys.”)

Now you’ve got to come up with a really snappy and catchy title for your add…something again that is provocative like:

Lonely American Girl Looking for a Hunky Chap or
Hot 20 Year old looking for some fun while in London.

Ok, next you really need to work on the actual posting.  You need to sell yourself with this. Now, you have to have no conscience to write this up without feeling naughty for writing about something you are not.  But still, here is an example:

Hey Guys!

My name is Jenn and I am only in London for the next 2 weeks.  I’m looking for a nice looking male aged 18-35 to show me around.

Please respond to my email because I’m getting pretty lonely over here :(

Talk to you soon!

You can even add photos, but make sure they aren’t too crazy looking…these should look pretty normal.  Camera phone looking pictures are probably the best.

Very Important Note: Make sure you put the email address that you setup with the vacation Autoresponder. 

So when the schmoe answers your ad they will automatically receive an response, complete with your Friend Finder affiliate link…and that my friend is your path to wealth! :)

You’ll also be surprised at the responses you’ll get from people. It is amazing how many desperate people there are out there willing to respond to Internet classifieds.
